I am a painter currently residing in the majestic state of Colorado. The beauty of the forests, creeks and the mountains inspires and influences me in unimaginable ways. I experience my world with the raindrops of summer afternoons, the scent of fallen leaves, the gold of the aspens, and the chimney smoke of frigid winters...
I manifest my love for nature, western landscape and genius simplicity of life through my paintings. I paint landscapes and I express the emotion it provokes in my abstract work. For me, it is a mystical experience, a spiritual journey into unknown.

Galina Bye uses primarily oil paints to create rich and moving paintings that invite viewers to experience the essence of a place. She draws on her life-long relationship with nature to guide others into the mystical world she lives in. Balancing the seen and the unseen, she interprets the physical world through her own unique style, using techniques ranging from impressionism to abstraction. Ukrainian-born, Bye is an American painter currently based in Golden, Colorado, and has shown her work in both group and solo shows, as well as an art residency abroad.
